    Thumbs up TMF's "Baddest" Truck Mount & Set up on the Planet! TMF Custom Carpet Cleaning Builds now Available!

    I started it a few weeks before May 2010 Connections. After returning from Connections I am inspired to build the baddest truck mount and set up on the planet. Kind of like Orange County Choppers meets Carpet Cleaning. Hope you like it!

    TMF is now offering custom truck mount builds catered to your needs. Please contact me at 1-757-486-3532 or via pm or email...roballen@truckmountforums.com .

    I will be using a diesel fired Masterblend El Diablo. Now as to why I didn't choose an Aerotech or Vortex;

    No space for my diverse services
    I'm not a fan of direct drives
    Repairs are difficult
    Parts are expensive
    Gas guzzlers

    And MOST of all I am DONE with over engineered Heat Exchanger units. I don't want my vacuum restricted to create heat,I don't want lots of solenoids and tons of propitiatory parts. All of this leads to costly repairs, frequent downtime and unhappy customers.

    This is just a few reasons why I am headed in the direction of this build. Overall I feel when I am done I will save 30k and have more room,have many more features,be more efficient and look better.

    TMF is now offering custom truck mount builds catered to your needs. Please contact me at 1-757-486-3532.

    1st I searched for a one owner box truck with low miles. I found 2002 Ford Box Truck w/26,000 miles. I prefer a used truck and new machines to save depreciation,insurance and tax's. It must be low miles and in mint condition as this one was. Like I mentioned earlier I also opted with the Masterblend El Diablo because after extensive tests at Industry Connections I found it to be a 15k machine that performed like a 25k machine. Loads of heat and suction in a small package that cannot be beat. With no heat exchangers,solenoids,sensors and over engineering I will have reduced operating costs coupled with little to no downtime. This machine cannot be beat for performance and price imho!

    Re: My Truck Mount & Box Truck Build Pictorial

    OK I am back from Connections and an extended vacation/golf trip. TMF was well represented,we won the Connections Golf Tournament!

    The trip really inspired me. I am shifting this build from a company truck to a show truck. I am going to go all out and any suggestions appreciated. I want it to be the "baddest" tm and set up on the planet.

    Now back to the build pictorial;

    Sealed the floor to make it water tight. Then I installed marine grade carpet.

    Re: TMF's "Baddest" Truck Mount & Set up on the Planet!!

    OK I figured if we are going to attempt to build the "baddest" set up on the planet we would need some "bling". So I went to pick up some real diamond plate instead of the green paint theme of my present company. I had no idea how much it was but knew we needed the best available. WOW! Diamond plate looks great but it is pricey. Then it can cost 20 bucks for each cut because it has to be sheared (if you hand cut it then it will "blue out" from heat).

    But to start I wanted a stainless steel catch pan to keep the marine carpet pristine...

    Installation I can do myself. Here is a sample pic of Seth putting it into position for us.

    2 Seth's is a scary thing

    This stuff is beautiful...

    David doing the finish work,notice the cut detail!

    Only 100 gallon for a big honkin truck like that? Im surprised!
    IF you want the ultimate truckmount, for 80k and you could just get a premade Aerotech or Vortex unit all assembled, installed and ready to go!

    Here is the BADDEST truckmount I've ever seen right here!

    If gas goes through the roof. Would you go all electric?

    You can make a bad a$$ electric with great power and heat.

    Richard I feel water tank size has a point of diminishing returns. Here is why;

    Bulky and space robbers.
    Heavy and wear out vehicles components prematurely.
    I use 200' "live" continuous fill water inlet lines
    And they are ugly imho.

    Stanley Steemer doesn't even run fresh water tanks in our area.

    Now as to why I didn't choose an Aerotech or Vortex;

    No space for my diverse services

    That Diamond Plate is a significant improvement over the GREEN. I think if you had left the green you would have had problems with hung over employees. They would have recovered your floor after seeing that color.

    Did I miss something or have you stated what machine you are using?
