Chris congratulations. Im hoping my first will be next week, but I did my own the other day and you are right, it looks easier on you tube (and much less painful). You should photo copy your first check and frame it, just to remind yourself where you started.

Kev has a good idea! People make it look easy on YouTube cause they have been doing for so long, it will get easier with time....just stay at it!

It does get easier. I am still a newbie and have found many ways to make it easier and faster getting setup and cleaning up. Every time I do a job I seem to find an easier/better to do stuff and have stuff laid out in my van. It's all about having stuff in the right places when you need it. My first 2 story job I bet I made 50 trips back and forth checking stuff and forgetting stuff.

I didnt get any pics because I didnt know how people would like me snapin pics in their house and I didnt know them. And on my first one out we did carpets, couchs, chairs, 8 dining room chairs, ceramic tile, basement carpets, windows in and out so the next one should be alittle easier. It turned out great though they seem to run a pretty clean house anyway (light tan carpets almost white). If anything else I got to use every last tool that I bought. It sure is nice getting paid at the end of the day. The part that seemed to be the biggest pain was setting up and breaking down (remembering I still had to do alot of windows after a long day sucked also) but im sure it will get easier.
