    Amtex

What do you guys think about Amtex Truckmounts? I am looking at the Steam Brite Scout with the 20HP and 36blower, or even the 15HP with 33blower. What type of distances can you get with those? What is a comparable machine?

personally I would not use anything under a 36 blower, and you should be able to use up to 200ft without any problems, anything over that and you could loose a bit of vac power.

the 20hp and 36 would be a nice combo because a motor that big should buzz along at a lower RPM range due to the smaller blower size, keep in mind that both these machines are suited to residential cleaning and would not be a super performer on longer hose runs.

There are lots of comparable machines with similar specs, Ben from amtex has recieved nothing but praises from his clientele and makes a good machine.

    hope this helps.

I have a 36 blower and have always wished it was larger.....no matter how long the hose run.

I've run 300' on many occasions, but of course the suction is weak.

The 13HP Prowlers very popular over here in UK backed up by a good distributor, small but with an excellent reputation for reliability.

However homes are smaller so most rarely go over 100ft domestic.

To small and ugly for me.

    Chris,

For a few dollars more get the Inferno 20HP
Its more than you will ever need

I have bought Butlers for years and last summer I want a backup truck and did not want a $900 month payment!
After using the Inferno I will NEVER buy a Butler again

Inferno's all the way for me
