Rather than buying the phones Richard I would use a laptop and wireless card for Internet. I would never let a tech schedule a job for my company. You keep the laptop, you and the wife do all the scheduling too. He would just have to talk to one of you guys in order to schedule.
The reminders are way easier on SM. All you do is click a few keys and it will print reminders off in seconds... Not to mention all the other little notes you can send out. It even can keep track of pets they have or don't have. A nice little touch! Or you can make your own such as allergies, kids, etc. and it will tell you how your marketing did in the long run. Did it work? You WILL know!
It will keep up with referrals, how you gained a customer, what services you sell most and least of, orders by region (where you do most of your work by zip) and their are many other cool features.
You do not need the phones for this program to be useful. The #1 reason for me to sign up was the ease of mind my customers info is backed up on my computer and also off site on SM. I don't worry about loosing information anymore! It happened once before.

You could make hundreds of campaigns to run, make a call list or send emails. The list goes on and on.
