Lightbulb GREEN CLEANING How much water usage do you use with your TM. or porty

Please be specific of the condition of the carpet. exclude subfloor extraction. Just basic average every day per home. I am curious Due to the "GREEN" craze going on

With a porty I use a little less than 10 gallons per 800 s.f. with Relatively clean carpets. my... TM. I have tuned to 145 p.s.i. and about 180 heat. on recirculation to the wand to keep heat consistant. blower is a sutorbilt 4.5 @ 1300. r.p.m. I average 50-60 gallons in the entire home relatively more than dirty. on both cases water is like black engine oil. the carpets are completely odor free without using any deoderant, or enzymes. And Most importantly I encourage the Custy to invite me back for any reason. and then educate them what to look for, odors or recurring spots. anything, I never have to go back until the next cleaning season.

I average about 50-55 gallons regardless of the chemicals used per 1,000 square feet at 400 psi and 230 degrees.

I too must agree with ken and jason 50-55 gal per 1,000 sq ft. I have had to use more on more heavily soiled carpet such as a greasy spoon that hasn't been done in yrs. spotman

I use about 50 gallons per 1K sq ft. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. Depends on the condition of the carpet.

I just wanted to say thanks for all who gave an estimate on water usage during a typical cleaning.
I also would like to add I had to use well over 300 for a single 2800 sf home a few weeks back It was putrid at best.. Sad thing is. I have to go back to do it all over again.. not because of a poor cleaning heck no. But the house stunk soooo bad with everything else. its a job I mentioned earlier. Well its enought to buy me another truckmount. I am also doing the tiles the driveway and a few other things. thanks again guys I was just thinking maybe something was wrong with the tm on this job..
