Smile So I ordered all the Rotovac tools and accessories (RV 360i,CFX's,Docking station and all heads)

I ordered all the Rotovac products available. Both CFX's, the new Rotovac 360i and the complete docking station. I also bought all the cleaning heads for the 360i. Would anyone like pictures, videos, questions answered and a review on any of it? (Check this thread for updates)
    Thanks
    Rob

    Hello Rob,

Is the 360i different than the 360? I would like pictures and your review on it.

How does this unit compare to a RX-20 ?

Roto vac 360 $2.200 with tile head ( special promotion)

    RX-20 $3.600

What is your thoughts on the RX-20 ?

    Thanks,

    KLR N LA

I would love to have a full review of the Rotovac CFX 360i system. It looks like a great design and I'm sure you will have a good opinion on it so yeah some pics or video would be awesome and what kind of dry times are you getting? I am really looking foward to your review.

    thanks

It seems the 360i is a nice improvement. It also looks like some changes in the tile head. And then there is the new brush head for carpet cleaning that sounds kind of cool. By all means, give us the feed back. Sometimes my original Rotovac does not seem like the right tool on a large open residential job, though other times it is awesome.

Richard I have the Rotovac 360. The Rotovac 360i is an improved version says the manufacturer and many I have spoken to.
I have used the RX-20 and prefer the Rotovac especially in a residential setting. Lighter weight and smaller learning curve.
The RX was designed by the owners of Rotovac and sold to Hydramaster.
The reason I have bought the "entire" Rotovac system is because of it's unique versatility.
The RV & CFX and 360i can prescrub, clean carpets, post pad, scrub tile and grout, has a bonnet head for all types of hard surface restoration and is great for flood pumping for water damage.
The RV & CFX is a great back up if your truckmount goes down.

Hope that helps. I'll post all stages of usage and give a review as I try some of the new equipment and accessories.

    Rob

Good job Rob. What is the retail cost for the CFX? It seems like a good setup except for 1 thing(250 psi pump :( ), I would like to see some pics of it and it's internals. I wonder if we can add a 500psi pump inside it? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

    Rob,
What is the difference between the "tile brush head attachment for tile and grout" ($395), and the "tile and grout brush head with direct spray including vac ring" ($495)?

So Rob, did you get 2 CFX's and 1 docking station? I see there is a $300 for a 3 stage upgrade. Does the 3 stage have 2-3 stages? Wow man, good **** man!!!

Can you add a bigger pump to the CFX docking station?

The CFX Docking Station comes with a 0-250 adjustable pump. The area where the pump is located on the Docking Station is not able to fit a larger pump. A larger pump area would have meant a smaller solution tank. I would suggest if more pressure is wanted, get a Mytee Water Hog that is adjustable from 0-1200 psi. And if you are connected from a faucet to the
Water Hog to the cleaning tool (Rotovac 360i), you would not even need the Docking Station, you would only need the CFX PowerPod. The 360i reportedly is so much more effective than a regular wand, you do not need more than 250 psi
for most carpets. And the brush is doing most of the work on hard floors.

    Tile head differences;

The older tile & grout brush head for the 360 has rubber squeegee vacuum slots built into the brush head and the spray jets are not direct spray. The newer tile & grout brush head for the 360i has more brush area because there are no rubber squeegee vacuum slots. The vacuuming is through a vacuum ring on the outer diameter of the brush head. This leaves the
floors a little drier than the old style head. Also, the spray jets shoot directly down onto the floor for more direct pressure.

    What are the differences between the old 360 and the new 360i;

    The new features include:
Easier and faster push button handle angle adjustment, no more adjustment knob to loosen and retighten to adjust the angle of the handle. (I like this a LOT!) Improved air flow through an oval shaped cast aluminum base frame with 2" vacuum hose outlet for better dry times. The old 360 has a rectangular vacuum box and 1.5" outlet. Comfortable gun grip handles with micro switch built into the on/off handle and 1,200 psi easy pull solution valve trigger for less hand
fatigue. Clear tube is on top of the handle for better view, not under the handle
Case hardened gears and motors for increased durability

What are the differences between the Rotovac and the RX-20?

The RX-20 weighs over 70 lbs, the 360i weighs 39 lbs.
The 360i has a telescoping handle for easier storage and for use on stairs
    and other tight areas
The 360i will leave the carpet much drier than a standard RX-20
The optional tile & grout brush heads with a vacuum ring for the 360i
works better than the optional hard floors heads of the RX-20
    $2195 for the 360i vs $3,495 for the RX-20

Let me know if anyone else has any other questions.

    Hey Rob,

I assume you used the new RV 360i with the CFX together to get your results, however did you get a chance to try the RV 360i with you truck mount as well? If so, how did it perform?

Have you had any problems with the carpet head leaving swirl marks in the carpet after?

What psi were you using the tile and grout head at?

Did you test any areas side by side (RV 360i vs Regular wand) to see which one dried quicker?

    Thanks...

Thanks for the report. Have you had a chance to use the carpet cleaning brush head? It seems like it might work pretty well.

I usually rake out the swirls on most carpets.

I used the RV with my truckmounts and it performed great on regular carpet but I prefer a wand with berber. I will try the new 360i and carpet brush next chance I get.

Wes when the weather clears a little I will make a video and test the RV vs wand. Be a great video and I too would love to see the results.
