It is the screw-on-lid booster.

Is that a joke?
It's just a vac motor inside or a pot that has a screw on lid riveted to it.

On one hand your point seems valid. Putting a motor under a pot is easy and not-too-expensive.
On the other, the inventor thought of it and you did not. I must assume here his idea is worth something.
Oh, and his labor, shipping, Uncle Sam etc.
Is your website a joke?
My point was that a pot with bolts and cords sticking out of it would scare my clients.
A bit too Frankenstein for me.
Several years back someone was selling portables that were 2 inverted lobster pots with wheels on the bottom.
Wonder if that was the same guy making this franken-vac booster?
They are made at Steambrite. Donald makes them.
I am not close enough to my clients to know their fears. I am, however, well aware of what typical CC'ers want to claim.
'Show up with a porty here and you'll get sent home."
I can show up naked, sunburned wearing a pink paisley hat using this machine and make a lot of money. But I get the entire networking/referral thing well enough to use it to my advantage...even with the pot scary thingy.
anyway, I present the ad here for the one who was looking. Not so much for the diatribe that followed.
I will leave you all to decide what to do with the info.
Best wishes.
Phil, you have an amazing memory. That was me. I want that. I need that. Spoke to a guy that says it works awesome. However, it is a bit out of my budget. They are not much more brand new. As for showing up with that in someone's home or condo, how on earth are they gonna know thats not part of the original machine. I highly doubt they research what these machines look like. For all they care it looks like a Home Depot bucket with hoses. I could think of a lot of worse things to do and ways to show up to someone's house than with that. In fact there is an entire thread devoted to just that.
Again thanks Phil for remembering and posting.

Matt,
Just get a vac and bolt a lid to the bottom of it.
Stick it in a minnow bucket out of your garage and WHALA!
Vac Booster!
