Thread: Chemeister Grease Eraser, Awsome product.

After using Chemeisters Grease Eraser again for the first time in a long time I just thought I'd give it a plug. This stuff is awesome. I had not used the product for years because of using other products, some of which were clearly inferior. I used it on an extremely heavily soiled restaurant last night with grease and food spills caked on in some areas. I filled the hydroforce with 6 scoops of Grease Eraser and mixed with very hot water as directed and sprayed it down hot using the yellow metering tip. In very few minutes the soils and grease were emulsified and rinsed out fairly easily. I could kick myself for stopping using it for so long. Also, of mention is the cost of the product. One container makes about 50 gallons of prespray at a cost of only .84 per gallon. Now, that's a good value for a great product. I used about 1 full hydroforce and maybe one additional quart to finish off an extremely soiled restaurant. That's about a little over 5.00 to do a great job on that carpet which was nearly 1900 sq. ft. btw and one of the most heavily soiled I've done this year. I know some here on TMF use the product already and if you have not given it a try I whole heartedly endorse it. This product is not just for greasy restaurants either. I've used it in the past many times to do trashed out rentals and it handled them like a champ as well. It is an impressive product I highly recommend. Products like this make me look like I really am a wizard with the wand and can make you look like it too. Get some, you won't be sorry!

I've used several other similar products such as Hydramaster Soil Break,Chempsec PreKleen and Kleenrite Klenz. All are excellent powder presprays too. I normally used Grand Slam most of the time now. I also still use Klenz,another excellent product. I don't know of another product that I've used that obliterates greasy soil like Grease Eraser though. I've used many different products over the years and I just get used to doing it a certain way with certain products. Part of the reason I stopped using Grease Eraser btw was because of misinformation about the product. It used to say on the label that the product had to be used at around 140 degrees which is what I operated at before getting a truck mount. I was afraid that using extremely hot water might cause problems with the product so I switched to Klenz which is safe at high temperatures. I also did not understand what Grease Eraser is exactly. I had been under the impression that is was an enzyme based product, but it is a detergent blend. In fact, when using Grease Eraser you need to cut back on your detergent in your machine or just do a clear water rinse. Klenz,PreKleen, and Soil Break are enzyme based. They have since changed the label on Grease Eraser which is a little clearer than the old label as far as how to use it. Now it simply says to mix it with hot water and spray it down hot. I sprayed it down with my truck mount turned all the way up and it just cut right through the greasy soils and it rinsed right out. Another product I've used that I did not like was KleenRite Extreme. I got very poor results from that product and it certainly didn't live up to it's name. I thought if Klenz was so good and it was made by Kleenrite then Extreme had to be good also, but I got bad results from it and never bought another container. Klenz, Soil Break,PreKleen or Grease Eraser blows Extreme away imho.

I used to use it years ago until I tried something else that blew the doors off of it. 20 years ago, Grease Eraser was the best product on the market but it has since been grossly overtaken for restaurant carpet use. I think that it would still be effective in homes and it has a nice fragrance. Chemeisters used to have another product named "Gumolene", a citrus based degreaser that worked quite well for such spots.

really thank God because I ordered a case of it because traffic slam and Zone perfect got beat by a bottle of resolve I found at a custys house. Wait............... correction It was rug doctor steamer cleaner. the image just popped in my head did you guys also see the differant flavors or deoderizers Called Matrix Fresh Family Deoderizers??

I've been doing a local Applebees. The area right off of the kitchen was literally caked with grease and filth. I think I will try this method next time and see if it makes that area any easier.

Btw, I was thinking Grease Eraser stated it was an enzyme product in the past. I was unaware of the change. I clearly remember the temperature limitation being 140 degrees as late as the early 90's when I used a lot of it. I stopped using it when I went to over 200 degree water temp. I can tell you I'm very happy with the product so far. I'm still using Grand Slam on my residential, but may start using Grease Eraser on some of the trashy rentals too.

Just got my order of Grease Eraser today, I will be trying it out this Sunday on a chinese restaurant .

Both products seem at least to be about the same health wise. The only real danger with Grease Eraser is if someone were to actually eat some of it. Both products can irritate the eyes and skin if you were to get some of it on you or splash it in your eyes. The same goes for a great many cleaning chemicals. If I get any Grease Eraser on my hands I simply rinse it off and I've never had a problem. Both products are high ph. I haven't used Power Burst so I can't compare the performance. You can read and download the msds for any product Jondon sells on their site. The links for msds are towards the bottom of each product page. They do appear to be completely different products chemically.

I had no luck with grease eraser, i prefer powermax from Cobb!

Today I tried again grease eraser, 4 oz per gallons, and once again, I was not happy with the results, I have been doing same carpet for over a year I had used twice powermax, once 2112 and twice greaser eraser.
powermax and 2112 even after I agitate with the bonnet pad I can see the dirt coming out, but nothing with grease eraser.
