    citrus solv vs citrus pro

    Ok Guys,

I did a test with citrus-solv from fro Dynachem and citrus pro from Prochem.

I took a little piece of of those foam cups and i put it in each small medicine measuring cup and you will see the result after only 3 minutes.

    you will be the judge.

btw, in the picture of the dynachem, it was gone. yep after only 3 minutes

Interesting, but what is your point - effectiveness, safety?

So is the Dynachem better? Because it dissolved the foam and the PC did not?

Or...would you want the PC since it did not dissolve the foam piece?

Not being a smarta$$, just wondering what's better.

citrus pro cost more than the double tan citrus-solv, but I think you gotta be a little careful with the dynachem not use it that much and don't leave it for too long, because it is strong.

    Jaime;

Thanks for taking the time to do the tests, but I think you are missing the actual point.

    Our Dynachem Citrus-Solv is 100% d-limonene solvent.

    That solvent power is ...
what you are buying any citrus solvent for.

Most of my customers use it as a cleaning booster,
or for adhesive removal. Strength is an asset for those applications.

All citrus solvents are very slow drying, that is the reason they can delaminate carpet.

Apply them to a towel only; and use the towel to remove spots.

For spotting purposes, I would use a POG, since it is even stronger, but evaporates quicker.

Since we are a chemical formulator, I think we can offer greater value, as your test demonstrates.

What were the prices you paid for each product ????

don't get me wrong Larry, I will buy more from your citrus solv, price is really good and I love the smell, now the question i asked when i ordered the product was how many onces of citrus solv per gallon, and one guy told me from 2 to 4 onces per gallon, but i think is too much, I think that from 1 to 2 is moreeee than enough, you product is really strong.
Can citrus solve(dynachem) be used with any pre spray regarless the brand of the pre spray?
I want to add also tha citrus solvit from Accelerated system is really good and excellent value
    Thanks

    Jaime;

The Dynachem Citrus-Solv mixes very well with the PowerMax @ 2 oz/gallon of prespray.

You would have to test it with other mfg. presprays.

The solvent will still work, but it might affect their stability.

Larry, What you say Dynachem citrus-solv is made with 100% d limonene solvent, so the entire gallon is pure d-limonene? is it possible? I thought you need glycol ether or some companies mix it with a petrolium solvent. Please explain more!

Also Taf Baig says that POG is a non volatil solvent so it won't dry. I got confused here!

you can watch when he said it in the video. (1st part of the video minute 75)

    Our DC Citra-Solv is 100% d-Limonene.

Other formulators add petroleum solvents to lower costs.

Some add surfactants to increase mixing ability.

We don't do that because it adds to residue upon evaporation.

On POG formulation, the first POG's were non-volatile or very slow evaporating.

We broke that concept with our POG incorporating volatile solvents.

We still like to spot with POG since it is a more aggressive solvent than Citrus Solv , but still evaporates faster.

citra solve from bridgpoint is useless. I litterally used a quart to 2 gallon sprayer and hydrobreak, traffic slam etc.. just to remove slightly greasy traffic areas to no avail. it did however smell pretty good.

I've been starting to think the same. I 've almost used a gallon of this stuff and I'm not really sure if it even does anything. I've tried it full strength on some grease and ink and it didn't do anything. I also noticed if it cools down enough in your spray bottle it will clump up .
I always use it so now I'm going to stop and see if I can tell a difference. I think everyone on here just hyped it up, so I bought some and tried it. Plus it ain't cheap.

I used Zone Perfect in a presprayer, @ 10-1 It did not get out the dark spot in front of a chair and couch.
I got 4 gals of hot water in a Porty, mixed 2 oz. bridgepoint cit-solve, RV with vacs off, dwell 5 minutes. cleaned, new water and end zone, I did a rinse and all is good.

Citrus works for everything. Nothing better. Smells great. Cleans great. Also works great with a pad machine.
