I just picked up a new commercial client doing offices. This is only my second experience with commerical glue down carpet, and I have a couple of questions..
On several of the locations, there are spots where the a thread is pulled on the carpet. Is it ok to cut these off or will it cause further damage? If not what is the correct way to deal with these? The owner wants to cut them off and melt the ends with a lighter to keep from fraying.
There are also a few spots where a section of carpet may an inch wide by a couple of feet long are gone. Some of these are at a seam, but some are in the middle of the carpet. They are asking what would cause this. Looks like it may have started with a fray and then..
