Post The SureTest Circuit Analyzer from Hydro-Force Prevents Tripped Breakers on Cleaning and Restoration

If you do much commercial carpet cleaning, you have probably been on at least one job where you turned on the vacuum cleaner or your portable extractor and tripped a circuit breaker. Maybe a few lights went out or some computer screens dimmed. Of course, it was an after-hours job and no one else was around. You weren't sure where the breaker box was and maybe it was too dark to reset the breaker if you could find it.

Did you just finish the job by searching for another live outlet? Maybe your only loss was a few minutes to move the cord. What about the business you were cleaning? They may have lost data when computers went down or other important equipment was left without power. Such incidents have cost many cleaners a good account.

Restorers have similar concerns about what equipment they can run on a circuit. "If I add one more air mover to this daisy chain, will all the equipment still be running when I return tomorrow?"
Wouldn't it be good to know how much amp load is already on a circuit before you plug in equipment or start flipping switches? There is a great new product that will do just that. Plug the Sure Test Circuit Analyzer into an outlet. The unit will first test the outlet to determine if the outlet is wired properly, with the proper wires to the hot, ground and neutral. It will also show the AC voltage. This will let you know if you have the voltage required by your equipment. It will also test the circuit under different amp loads. This will display the voltage drop under loads of 12amps, 15amps and 20amps. Finally, the display will show the amount of load presently on the circuit. With this reading and the voltage drop reading, you can now determine if your equipment will be able to operate on this circuit. You'll know if your two cord machine is on two separate circuits. No more guessing. No more "Boom, the power goes out."

The SureTest Circuit Analyzer is available from your local Hydro-Force distributor. For more information, log onto www.hydroforce.com.

So what do you think, guys? Is this a useful tool? I think restorers especially would like to know how much equipment they can plug into an outlet.
