    Question major blood foot prints

A building superintendant asked me to clean up some blood this morning just as I get ready to start a cop comes off the elevator and says STOP this is a crime scene.

Anyway now that I'm waiting I'm wondering if you guys use cold or hot water for blood.

I had neg results in the past with hot water.

Not hot water with blood. Speaking of blood Jon Don sells a product called Red Cross works very well on blood. Always glove up as well with any body fluids or in a care facility.

My question is who gave you permission to clean the blood? If you don't have a release of the property in hand then i wouldn't touch it. You might also want to consider if your insurance policy covers you for cleaning up crime scenes cause if you don't and someone CLAIMS to get sick from the blood after you clean it then you could find youself in a very expensive lawyers office. Other than that....some of the answers above are great. Never use hot water and blood.

Citrus sol works too with agitation, but the thing about blood is it keep wicking up. Even tiny droplets. You may consider an absorbent powder when done and either go back next day or instruct customer to vacuum thoroughly tomorrow.

    Re: major blood foot prints

Blood dissolves easily in water cool or cold water. Don't use hot water as it will cook the blood and you may never be able to get it out. Treat the blood stain immediately, it's much easier to clean up than if it is allowed to set for several hours or longer.
