Bane Clene won't work with rotovac?

I just bought a rotovac wand (used) and it doesn't appear to be compatable with by Bane Clene. Althought the water in my solution tank is 170 degrees, it is cold coming out of the rotovac. From the rotovac wand back through the soltion line at least 30 feet it is cold. From that point on, back towards my solution tank, it continues to get hotter? The only thing I can think of is that I run 3'8 solution hose with my Bane unit and it reduces to a 1/4 coupler and line on the rotovac...is it possible that it is creating a back pressure and thats why I get cold water at the rotovac head? I don't know if I can run 1/4 line on my Bane Clene, I have to contact them sometime this week. Any suggestions or possilbe answers would be much appreciated.

JUst run it for a while untill the cold water is purged from the system.

I would of thought the low water pressure would of been the problem.

You may have increased your flow rate with the Rotovac, are you using the 360? They send them from the manufacture with 3 x 1.5 jets. What is your current flow rate with your wand?

Also, what are you using for heat with your unit?

What size are the jets? And are you using the Rotovac power wand or 360?
Within doubt we can get it out!

Thanks for the input. I contacted Bane Clene and they said it was to much restriction going from the 3/8 hose to 1/4 connection on the Rotovac. By the way it is the power wand. I called Rotovac and they told me I could modify the wand to a 3/8 quick connect and line with no worries. I will see!!!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I wouldn't think that restricting flow would cause that much thermal loss of heat. Something doesn't seem right. Mitch, let us know how things turn out for your, but I kind of think that you may still be having problems.

Im wondering what the answer is to this question? Im thinking of purchasing a bane clene machine but would like to know if a rotovac 360 would be compatible with it.
Anybody using a bane clene TM know the answer?

i would think that the smaller the jets the hotter the water because the less flow the easier it would be for the machione to keep up wityh produceing heat

Re: Bane Clene won't work with rotovac?

you gotta flush out the cold water....let it run for a bit it will get hotter as the hot water pushes thru.

I took a QC and attached it to the water line and left the other end open.....then let the cold water flush out faster until it got hot then I attached the line to my 360i.

just like leaving a garden hose out in the sun.... the hose water will be hot hot until you let it flush out.

Or you can install an inline heater-diesel/propane/electric and turn it into a beast!

Re: Bane Clene won't work with rotovac?

I see that the answers above mine here are from months ago .... anyways, I will just say that I have a Bane Clene system also, and I had the same exact problem when I bought my RotoVac .... where is my hot water? Well what I do, is to take my solution hose and I have a quick connect fitting on it that allows the water to flow freely, so I just route the line back into my hot water tank and let the cold water flush out of the hose. I allow the hot water to fill the solution hose and thus it also heats the solution hose up. So then when I see that I have very hot water coming out of my solution hose, I then hook it to the RotoVac and start the job.

Heating water has been my biggest problem so far (I can heat water, but it takes forever). I plan on getting a propane heater such as the Little Giant .... as soon as I can.
