    Fuel pumps

When fuel pumps run dry or tanks go low some cars exibit vapar lock symptoms. they can exibit an out of prime fuel system even with fuel injection. Most cars have a beeder valve (near the intake) to check and test for fuel and relieve any pressure within the system for ignition.
Fuel lines can freeze also. So be aware that condensation in the tank will make fuel more prone to freeze.

That is why those of us who live too far North, never lel the tank run below 1/8 during freezing conditions. I never thought of using the fuel pressure test port to cure vapor lock. Now that I think of it, I have never had a fuel injected vehicle vapor lock. Good info Ara.

I actually never let the tank go below one-half, the more fuel the better. Also a lot of places have the 10% ethanol in the fuel mixture. I wonder if anybody out there has had fuel problems. Have the manuftrs addressed this issue?? I know that some lawn mowers small engines have had some problems. Spotman
