    Pro Chems Stuff

I have always had good results with pro Chem products. I use them for everything. But are they worth the cost? Are there any chemicals that do just as good but cost less? I notice that Pro Chem is very proud of their tools and charge accordingly (overrated in my opinion). Are there chemicals the same way? Any comments are greatly appreciated.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

Prochem employs over 40 full time chemistry staff that do nothing but work on their cleaning products exclusively. Thats a serious amount of dedication from any company.

Prochem has always made well designed, dependable and reliable tools, but yes, you pay dearly for them too.
The payoff is that you wont have to buy a new tool every year.

Prochem chems are all pretty good, I like just about anything they make except maybe the ultrapac prespray, just a personal opinion, lots of cleaners love the stuff.

I love their rust remover, citrus gel, and leather cleaner and conditioner, power burst too, all great products.

To answer your question, yes, there are lots of other brands of chems out there you can try and some may be a bit cheaper, but only you can decide if you like them more. Dont base your preference of cleaning products on price, base them on performance, and how much you like them personally that accents your own particular style of cleaning.

Procyon, Chemspec, and CTI's pros choice line all have great products to offer as well. It really comes down to what you can find locally, and what your willing to pay to get them shipped to you. Freight can get pretty expensive when you get into those 50 lb. orders.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

    Good stuff cost extra.
I am having a problem with a contractor, who WAS a friend of mine, and told me he'd help me out on the price of the work being done. He talked a good game but in the end could not deliver. If I had payed a little extra I wouldn't be homeless right now.

So pay the extra money and get over it. I offer high quality work and charge accordingly. It's not worth it to start buying cheaper chemicals to save $3-5 a gallon on prespary, only to sacrifice my quality?

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

I like bridgestone and prochem products. But for anyone that wants a great product that is cheap and wants to remove 80% of their spotters. Buy the spotting bar sold here on tmf. I still have most of the spotters on my truck but they are getting a bit dusty. With that spotting bar I have gotten out. Gum, makeup, ink, blood, and many other mystery stains. This has been the #1 thing I have gotten off this forums that has saved me $100s in products.

As far as the prochem products out there I had a job yesterday where a custy spilled 1/4 gallon paint on her carpet. I used prochems powersolvent and well lets just say I will always love that product. I wouldnt trade it for any other one on the market.

not sure about you guys in the states, but in the UK, Prochem import the EDIC machines and tools from what I understand, and then stick their labels on it.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

My partner used to use Prochem in another business along with Pros Choice. Since we got our new biz going, we kept Pros Choice, dumped Prochem and started using alot of Masterblend products. Great line, Very effective. Puts Prochem to shame in our eyes.

Only Prochem stuff I have used is their acid based T&G cleaner and it works great.

We stopped using acids after Dr Aziz created Tilemaster. It is a powdered high ph cleaner with citrus and peroxide built in. It cuts like nothing we have ever tried and is virtually dummy proof because it will not harm man made or natural stone. Try it and if you don't think it is the best tile & grout cleaner send it back and get a full refund. One scoop with 2 quarts of water means it will clean 1000's of dollars of tile & grout. Extremely effective and economical. Win win.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

I have been using Prochem Ultrapac Trafficlean. Using a Hydroforce putting it
down at about 300 psi @ 180 degrees ( I saw Robs video stating that higher temps
harm inline sprayers). I then follow with a Bridgepointe Product called Fiber Plus
at about 1/3 ounce per gallon and probably giving me a ph of 7.5 to 8. I feel like
it is safer to do this as sometimes we can clean at too high a ph like 10. My question
is am I just handicapping myself by using a lower ph product as my rinsing agent or
is this product a good one to use as a rinsing agent?
I usually clean carpet at 180 to 200 at the truck.
I do some moderate duty commercial and residential.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

The Fiber Plus rinse agent does not handicap you prepsray at all. The final pH is fine for both residential and commercial carpets. But you might get a little more cleaning kick and still have the final pH at or just below 7 if you rinsed with End Zone.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

Thank you Scott for that information. I have been using the Fiber Plus
because of my experience several years ago when I went from
higher ph powders I had some problems with wicking on some of
the really dirty carpets. With Fiber Plus it seems like the cleaning ability
was about as good and I have never had problems of browning out or any kind.
On the other hand I have had good success with them(10 +ph) when doing
restaurants that were quite greasy. I suppose in those cases that the ph
was neautralized by the grease in the carpets.
Is End Zone as effective in cleaning ability as Fiber Plus? I have just restarted
the cleaning end of business for my sons . So I may be a little behind on the
    newer and better chemistry.

Fiber Plus has more lubrication than End Zone so it is excellent when cleaning wool or other staple fibers and treats them very gently. The somewhat increased foam level of Fiber Plus can also be helpful when dry particle soils are heavy.

The cleaning power of End Zone is better than Fiber Plus and it is less likely to resoil or to wick. So, in most situations I would choose End Zone.

    Re: Pro Chems Stuff

Thank you Scott for that info. I have always liked Bridgepointe products and
felt that each product has to meet high standards and are quite effective. I remember
back even in the 1990s that Fiber Plus was already being sold as a product
that could clean any carpet in any condition . With its lower ph of 7.5 @1/4 ounce
per gallon or 8.0 ph 1/3 to 1/2 ounce per gallon that it was formulated to use on wool,
upholstery and even commercial applications as well. When I was using truckmounts
like a Lancer I had I used the same amount whether it was Fiber Plus with its
almost nuetral ph or Point Blue with its just under 10 ph. (9.8?) if I correctly
and I also set my dwyer guage at the same level.
I will give End Zone a try!
