I use RedLine PreSpray from MasterBlend and it works great. also use there SoapFree carpet & upholstery cleaner. They also have Anti-Allergen PreSpary for people who suffer from allergies and asthma or chemical sensitivities. I can not say enough about that.

The guy I bought my unit from used 2-2-1 mix of vinegar, cloth wash detergent, and water. This was for residential. Does this seem right? He said the vinegar sanitized and the detergent deodorized.

    Has anyone used Odoban?

I hope this is a joke. If someone really suggested using these products, they are part of the reason of our industry does not get the respect it desrves.

To start with, almost all laundry detergents contain optical brightners. These will void the manufacturers warrantiy on residential and commercial carpet. They will tend to yellow the carpet with age, will be hard to rinse out and leave resoiling residues (Your washing machines uses 45 gallons of water to wash 10 pounds of clothing. So it gets rinsed pretty good.) There are also ingredients that interfere with the stain resist properties of generation 5 carpet.

Vingar does not sanitize. Not at all. It just makes the house smell like pickles. There is no EPA registration on any vinegar bottle. If a professional uses that is someone's home and they claim to get sick, you have a large exposure to liability.

Find a reputable distributor of carpet cleaning products in your area. If you can't locate one. Send me an email. I will be glad to give you a suggestion.

I use End Zone in Hydroforce set at 32:1 mix with about 6 oz of citrus solv added to the gallon for residential. I havnt found a reason to try anything else. Cleans all sorts of nastiness really well. And with the citrus added to it it smells real nice also.

Lance, So you are saying you dont like that stuff. I also use the End Zone Carpet prespray and emulsifier. I am new to this industry and would like some recommendations. Something I can get easily. I shop at Interlink in Tempe.

FLEX is my favorite so far you can add a little citrus to kick it up a notch (on nasty greasy carpets). I use Sunbelt's premiere carpet extraction cleaner in my jug. I get good results that way. I used Traffic Slam before but when they changed the label on the bottle I couldn't stand the fumes anymore. I was told the ingredients were still the same but i swear it smelled stronger to me. Did anyone Else notice this or am I just CrAzY?
