Today is my second job and they have a white shag rug that they need cleaned. I plan on just pre-spraying, agitating and extracting. What else should I know going into this job?
Thanks!!

I just now saw this so by now, you probably already completed the job. If you still need help, I'll be glad to guide you. Shag carpet/rugs, depending upon the length of the fibers can be a bit tricky. I once had a job in the early 80's where the guys fibers were 6 inches long. No Joke. But that's another story. Let me (us) know how you did.

Going to do the job in an hour and a half at 6:00 EST. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I am curious on this. I was asked by someone if I can clean these rugs. I will be doing a wall to wall in the spring. I am told they can only vacuum with suction. No beater bar or brushes. This may be a headache but I will give it a shot.
How much more expensive should be charged for something like this? If I am getting .30 per sq ft. now. what would be a fair price?

What is the fiber type? That IS the most important question.
If it's wool, then add an acid rinse and get a good airmover on it.
