Inspect before you clean!!!!!!

Pre-existing conditions
Has it been cleaned in the home before you (this can create problems)
EXACT measurement
Top and bottom end of rug
What solutions you want to use and equipment
Turnaround time for the client
Who is going to pay

I think first you need to know your Market. Can you make money and also provide your clients great cleaning. By just being a sub for a great washing facility like Nate's or Lisa's place. You can make a decent mark up, do ad-ons and have non of the headaches that go with starting a Proper Rug Plant. Plus you'll save a bunch of money trying to set up something you may not enjoy doing or even have a passion for. Steam cleaning and rug washing are worlds apart.
