Question When should the rug be delivered back to the customer?

Lets say if you dont have the rug badger or rug revolution or other equipment to clean area rugs and ring out the water...

If you pit clean, extract using water claws and then hang dry - what is the average time frame when it should be delivered back to the customer? Of course once its dry but should we wait any longer?

And how about this, can you bring a rug back too soon? I think some feel time should be spent on their babies. Cause to me if you bring it back too soon Mrs Piffleton is going to think you didn't do a whole lot. But what is the right amount of time as Tre is alluding to?

For our plant, the turnaround is one week. When we had the fires roll in, the turnaround was several months due to all of the work load.

This gives a day for pre-inspection and any thorough communication with clients as needed (if they bring the rugs in person this happens instantly - if it's out in the field, managers do the pre-inspection on site but the team in-house does another walk-through in case anything is missed), several days for cleaning/drying/grooming, final inspection and then contacting for delivery.

If you Rob have someone in charge of rugs, doing them daily or every other day, then 7-10 day turnaround should not be unreasonable at all - gives you time to work on any additional areas if needed. If you are SURFACE cleaning - you can cut that in half.

That said, I know many carpet cleaning companies who sub out the rug cleaning and give a two week turnaround to their clients for rugs.

As long as it is clear to the client, and the delivery happens when communicated, it should be no problem. If they need a rush, you can also assess a "rush fee" in order to move their rug to the front of the line (which is not uncommon with any business - just like paying extra for overnight shipping versus regular 5-7 day ground).

Pick a turnaround that is comfortable for you so you do not rush your work - and make that what you communicate.
