First of all - PHOTOS. Of the front, and the back corner (so we can see the side and fringe), and the PROBLEM areas.

Second - answers to these questions:

FIBER TYPE (synthetic, or natural)?
CONSTRUCTION TYPE (woven, tufted, or custom)?
PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS (what, if anything, have you done to it - or what did someone else do)?

Third - what tools and know-how do you have. Are you a surface cleaner (portable and truckmount only) of rugs, or do you have a wash pit or wash floor?

In a perfect world - these areas would be covered. Even if you get the 1st part covered, that helps a lot - it is IMPOSSIBLE to confidently answer questions based on what we think the rug is or what the problem looks like.

So ... help a poor rug chick out... please post photos.
