    hand tufted wool rugs

hi,i wonder if you all wet wash these rugs or just extract these, surface cleaning,as is it is just called.I have tried both, wet wash sometimes is problamatic with the latex and the backing, seems hard to dry them .how do you decide which way to clean these, sometimes cheap rugs?

Tufted rug should be cleaned with an extractor from both sides. Avoid a full wash as they will often come apart or may even bleed stencil marks into the face.

    Re: hand tufted wool rugs

We wet wash ALL rugs, even tufted - but we have the equipment to do it. A wringer.

We also offer relatex-ing surfaces for the ones in need - an added repair for these rugs that do not last a long time.

Extracting a tufted rug can cause misshaping if you are not careful - when needed, on the more delicate, or unstable, ones - use a screen to keep the rug steady during extraction so you don't pull away tufts. Most will not be a problem though.

Airpath airmovers are GREAT to dry tufted rugs more quickly.

Good job Bill I'm sure you got it cleaner than just extraction would have.
